What’s Included
- Investarm S.r.l. Hawken .54 caliber percussion muzzleloader rifle
Made in Italy and marked accordingly, this Hawken reproduction carries Italian proof and date codes that align with 1970s production. The barrel is marked "BLACK POWDER ONLY - MADE IN ITALY - CAL.54," and the proofs include the Gardone proof house crest, PN black-powder proof, AB date code, and an I-in-square maker's mark.
The 28-inch octagonal steel barrel is blued and paired with practical open sights: a dovetailed steel blade front and an adjustable rear with elevator. This setup supports precise sighting while maintaining the period-correct look.
The percussion sidelock action uses an external hammer and a double-set, double-lever trigger for a crisp, tunable release. It is a single-shot muzzleloader configuration with a 1-round capacity, consistent with traditional Hawken-style rifles.
The hardwood stock has a glossy finish and a left-side cheekpiece, with sling mounting points for field carry. Brass furniture includes the buttplate, a patchbox with a round lid and teardrop finial, trigger guard, ramrod thimbles, and nosecap. The lockplate shows a case-colored finish, while the hammer presents a uniform gray/plain steel patina with no visible case colors, and the barrel is retained by one visible wedge with an oval escutcheon. Length of pull measures 14.5 inches.
