Built on Smith & Wesson's X-Frame, this 5-shot Model 500 is chambered in 500 S&W Magnum and uses a five-charge-hole fluted cylinder. The yoke is marked "MOD 500," and the barrel carries clear rollmarks: "500 S&W MAGNUM" on the right and "SMITH & WESSON" on the left.
The 9 in stainless steel barrel includes a full underlug, top rib serrations, and an integral multi-port muzzle brake to help manage recoil. Sights consist of a black adjustable rear paired with a front blade for fast, precise alignment.
The revolver wears brushed stainless steel on the frame and cylinder, complemented by black textured rubber Hogue finger-groove grips with molded S&W logos (no metal medallions). A smooth-faced trigger and external DA/SA hammer provide straightforward control and operation.
Factory embellishments include scroll-style engraving on the barrel, cylinder, and frame, plus a bear head motif on the right side of the frame. The sideplate shows the S&W Trade Mark roundel, and the frame is rollmarked "MADE IN U.S.A. SMITH & WESSON, SPRINGFIELD, MASS."
