This example is the first-generation model (SKU 180021) with an overall length of approximately 6.1 in and a width of approximately 0.95 in, providing a compact footprint with a 3.1 in barrel and a 7+1 capacity.
Construction features include a stainless-steel slide and barrel with a black nitride finish, paired with a black polymer frame reinforced by an embedded stainless-steel chassis. The slide uses wavy rear serrations for traction, and the frame wears M&P texturing for secure handling.
Sight setup is straightforward and effective: a white-dot front sight with a 2-dot, drift-adjustable rear. The trigger uses a hinged design, and safety features include a trigger safety and a sear deactivation lever. The slide is marked "CAUTION - CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED."
This pistol comes equipped with a Crimson Trace LG-489 Laserguard, a trigger-guard-mounted red laser that integrates cleanly with the platform. It also includes both a 7-round flush magazine and an 8-round extended magazine, plus a DeSantis pocket holster and the S&W factory box.
