The P30L S V3 configuration pairs a long slide with HK's DA/SA V3 trigger system, combining ambidextrous frame-mounted manual safeties with a rear-mounted decocker and an external spurred hammer. Fully ambidextrous controls include bilateral slide releases and a paddle-style magazine release, offering mirrored operation for right- or left-handed users.
The 4.45-inch cold-hammer forged polygonal barrel and long slide are finished in HK's nitrocarburized "hostile environment" treatment. Front and rear slide serrations aid manipulation, and the external extractor includes a red witness mark that serves as a visual and tactile loaded-chamber indicator.
Sight regulation is handled by drift-adjustable 3-dot contrast sights, with a dovetailed front post featuring a single white dot and an open-notch rear. The sight radius measures 6.42 inches. The grip can be tailored with interchangeable side panels and backstraps, and the fiber-reinforced polymer frame includes a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory rail.
Proofed and imported with CIP N (DE) marks and an HKI - Columbus, GA import stamp, this German-made .40 S&W ships with two 13-round magazines for a 13+1 capacity. A matching serial is observed on the barrel hood, and the package includes the factory case, manual, spare grip panels and backstraps, and a magazine loader.
