This SP-01 combines a steel frame with CZ's internal slide-rail design, which places the slide inside the frame rails for a low-profile fit. The full-length dust cover incorporates an integral 3-slot accessory rail, and the frame wears a durable black Polycoat finish. It is marked MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC.
Controls include a traditional DA/SA action with an exposed hammer and a manual safety. The magazine release is on the left side. An extended upswept beavertail aids control, and a lanyard loop sits at the rear of the mag well. Checkered rubber grip panels with CZ medallions provide a secure hold.
Sight regulation is via fixed 3-dot night sights, with a single-dot front and a rear sight marked TRU-DOT. This setup offers a clear, familiar sight picture.
The 4.5 in steel barrel has a nitride finish. Capacity is 18+1 with the included magazines. The pistol operates on a short-recoil, locked-breech system.
Markings include Czech C.I.P. proofs with the Czech lion and a '16 year code, CIP N on the barrel, a CZ-USA, Kansas City, KS import mark, and factory CZ frame markings. The slide, frame, and barrel hood carry matching serials. The factory test target documents a 6-shot group at 25 m with a 69.5 mm dispersion.
