The receiver is drilled and tapped, and it is equipped with Remington-branded two-piece bases and 1-inch rings. There are no open sights; the front sight ramp has been removed, and two sight-mounting holes are present on the barrel.
The BDL stock is high-gloss walnut with a Monte Carlo comb, cheekpiece, contrasting black forend tip and grip cap with white-line spacers, and machine-cut checkering. A Pachmayr White Line ventilated recoil pad is installed, yielding a 13.5-inch length of pull. Sling swivel studs are present.
The right-hand bolt is jeweled, with a two-position safety at the right rear of the action and a bolt release. Rollmarks read "Remington MODEL 700" on the receiver and "REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. .270 WIN." on the barrel. Remington "REP" proof marks are present, along with a barrel year letter "H" and a faint month letter "W," consistent with 1987 production in the United States.
