Product Description

Winchester Model 1912 Field Grade 16 Gauge Pump-Action, 26 in Nickel Steel Barrel, Fixed Full Choke, Takedown (1919)

This 1919 Winchester Model 1912 Field Grade stands out with its takedown configuration, early barrel roll marks, and nickel steel 26-inch barrel. Chambered in 16 Gauge with a fixed F choke, it pairs the smooth, hammerless action of the Model 1912 with no-disconnector operation for slam-fire capability. Classic field features include the grooved corncob forend, uncheckered walnut pistol-grip stock, and a steel Winchester buttplate.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Specific Condition Notes: The metal surfaces present very well and appear to have been re-blued at some point, with a few small scratches and slight discoloration on the receiver. The bore shows some pitting. The walnut stock has several dings and scratches, and there is a small hairline crack behind the receiver.

    What’s Included

    • Winchester Model 1912 Field Grade 16 Gauge pump-action shotgun

Built in 1919, this Field Grade Model 1912 features early barrel roll marks: "MOD. 1912 - 16 GA." and "NICKEL STEEL." The takedown joint and muzzle band are clearly visible, allowing the shotgun to be broken down for transport and maintenance.

The 26-inch nickel steel barrel has a fixed F (Full) choke and a single front bead. A tubular under-barrel magazine provides a 5-round capacity, and the shotgun ejects from the right side.

The action is hammerless and known for smooth cycling. It has no disconnector, making it slam-fire capable as originally designed. The length of pull measures 13.5 inches.

Traditional field furniture includes a grooved corncob walnut forend and an uncheckered walnut pistol-grip buttstock capped with a steel Winchester buttplate. The receiver and barrel wear a blued finish over steel construction, consistent with the period.
