    What’s Included

    • Savage Arms Model 99EG .300 Savage lever-action rifle

Chambered in .300 Savage, this Model 99EG features a 24 inch round steel barrel and a blued receiver and barrel. The top-eject design and the model marking "SAVAGE 99" on the frame ring are correct for the period.

The internal rotary (spool) magazine provides a 5-round capacity, paired with the 99’s hammerless lever-action. The lever shows a color case-hardened finish, adding a classic factory detail to the rifle’s appearance.

Its walnut stock set includes a pistol-grip buttstock with checkering, a straight comb, and a schnabel forend. A steel shotgun-style buttplate and a 13.25 inch length of pull complete the stock configuration.

Factory open sights include a ramped front sight with a bead insert and a barrel-mounted rear sight with a stepped elevator, offering practical sighting for field or range use. Markings include the Savage SP oval proof on the barrel and a single-letter Y inspection stamp at the barrel shank/right receiver junction.

Made in the United States in 1953, this rifle is associated with the Chicopee Falls production period (1947–1959), a timeframe noted for Model 99 development and refinement.
