The AT-22 uses a simple blowback action with right-side ejection and a right-side charging handle. A manual safety with S/F selector markings provides straightforward controls. The detachable box magazine system supports a 20+1 capacity when using the included 20-round magazine.
The barrel is quick-detach, retained by a large knurled collar for fast takedown. A ventilated barrel shroud surrounds the 17-inch slim barrel, and the tubular upper receiver keeps the package light and handy. Iron sights include a fixed front post and an adjustable rear for practical zeroing.
The folding wire stock and dual pistol grips—rear and a forward vertical grip—offer compact storage and stable handling. A polymer fore-end/handguard and matte black finish complement the lightweight, utilitarian design. Sling loops are fitted front and rear.
