Built on an AKM-pattern stamped receiver, the Hellpup retains the familiar long-stroke gas piston system and selector lever safety. The receiver is finished in matte black and topped with a ribbed stamped cover, giving it the traditional AK profile in a compact pistol format.
The 11.73-inch barrel and approximate 21.85-inch overall length deliver a short, maneuverable package while keeping AK ergonomics. The rear of the receiver is closed with a flat back plate, and no stock is present. A short conical muzzle device is installed and retained by a visible screw/pin.
Furniture is rugged polymer, including the ribbed lower handguard, polymer upper handguard/gas-tube cover, and a polymer pistol grip. Sights are classic AKM: an open-post front on the standard front sight base and an elevation-adjustable tangent rear sight leaf.
This pistol accepts detachable AK-pattern 7.62x39 box magazines and has roll marks that include "HELLPUP" and "7.62x39." The receiver does not include a left-side optics rail. Unloaded weight is approximately 6 lb 5 oz, providing a solid feel in a compact footprint.
Manufactured in Radom, Poland and imported by Pioneer Arms Corp, Port Orange, Florida, the Hellpup carries clear manufacturer and importer markings. The overall configuration, reliable operating system, and included pair of 30-round magazines make it a notable AK-format pistol package.
