The FMP 9 uses a blowback operating system with AR-15 pattern controls for familiar handling. The receivers are aluminum, and the pistol includes a manual safety. Ejection is on the right side, and the upper omits both a forward assist and an ejection-port cover for a streamlined profile.
The 5-inch barrel is threaded and fitted with a compact forward-vented muzzle device. Up top, the monolithic-style upper provides a continuous 1913 Picatinny rail. The free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard features slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, plus on the 45-degree flats, offering flexible accessory placement.
This pistol is Glock-pattern magazine compatible and comes with a 10-round Glock double-stack magazine for a 10+1 capacity. The Shockwave Technologies Blade pistol stabilizer (polymer, molded patent D846685) and an A2-style polymer grip round out the controls and ergonomics.
Factory markings include "MODEL: FMP 9, CAL: MULTI, BOISE, ID USA" on the lower with the F.M. Products logo. The firearm is made in the USA.
