The Mark II Target configuration pairs Ruger's fixed-barrel tubular receiver with a heavy 5.5-inch stainless bull barrel for steady handling. The stainless construction is complemented by a black polymer 22/45 frame that preserves a 1911-like grip angle and uses integral grip panels with horizontal serrations and molded Ruger medallions.
This is a Mark II–era pistol without later Mark III features such as a loaded-chamber indicator or a magazine disconnect. It retains the classic Ruger takedown via the rear mainspring housing and uses right-side ejection.
The action is a semi-automatic blowback system using an internal cylindrical bolt with twin rear bolt ears for charging. It feeds from detachable box magazines and is rated at 10+1 capacity in .22 LR.
Sighting is through a pinned, ramped front blade and a fully adjustable rear sight, giving the shooter precise control for target work. This example was manufactured in 1993 in the USA.
