What’s Included
- 1x 7-round single-stack 1911 magazine (stainless steel body)
This Eclipse Custom II follows the classic Government-length 1911 format, pairing a 5-inch barrel with a single-stack .45 ACP, 7+1 capacity. It is a Series II pistol with a single-action operation, combining familiar 1911 handling with Kimber's internal firing-pin block system.
The all-stainless slide and frame wear the Eclipse two-tone treatment: brushed stainless flats contrasted by matte dark rounds. The slide carries forward and rear cocking serrations in the Eclipse pattern and a lowered and flared ejection port. Factory markings include "ECLIPSE CUSTOM II" with the script "Kimber" on the slide and "KIMBER, YONKERS, NY U.S.A." on the frame.
Accuracy-focused components include a match-grade, bushing-fitted barrel and a skeletonized aluminum trigger with an overtravel screw. Control surfaces are thoughtfully executed with factory front-strap serrations, a flat, serrated mainspring housing, and a beveled magazine well opening. Checkered laminated wood grips with a double-diamond motif provide a secure, classic 1911 feel.
The sighting system uses a dovetailed front and a screw-adjustable square-notch rear with two white dots. Safety features include a beavertail grip safety with a raised pad, an ambidextrous thumb safety, and a Series II (Swartz-type) firing-pin block. This U.S.-made example combines the Eclipse's signature look with practical features suited to a full-size .45 ACP 1911.
