Produced under a U.S. Government contract in the 1950s, this H&R M1 Garand carries the correct receiver heel marking: 'U.S. RIFLE CAL .30 M1 H.&R. ARMS CO.' It aligns with the 1954–1955 production window and retains the standard M1 configuration and finish typical of the era.
The barrel is marked 'HRA 6535448 12-54,' with P and H proof stamps on the barrel. The rifle uses the classic 24-inch barrel and the 8-round en-bloc clip-fed internal magazine, paired with the semi-automatic, gas-operated system and rotating bolt.
Key components include a Springfield Armory operating rod marked 6528287-SA A15. The gas cylinder is equipped with a bayonet lug and fitted with a stacking swivel and sling swivels, matching standard USGI features of the period.
Sights are USGI-pattern iron sights: a wing-protected front blade and an aperture rear sight with windage and elevation adjustments. The stock and two-piece top handguards are hardwood. The rifle retains a Parkerized steel receiver and components, with a 13.0-inch length of pull.
