It features a 6-inch steel barrel with a solid, serrated non-vented rib and an ejector-rod shroud, paired with a traditional 6-shot cylinder and a double-action/single-action system with a transfer-bar safety. The hammer has an exposed, checkered spur for confident manual cocking.
Sighting equipment includes a ramped front sight and an adjustable square-notch rear with windage and elevation screws. Checkered hardwood grips with Taurus medallions provide a classic factory fit.
The frame, cylinder, and receiver carry a bright polished finish. Markings include TAURUS INT. MFG. MIAMI, FLA – USA, MADE IN BRAZIL, and TAURUS – BRASIL. The model stamping "669" appears on the yoke/crane recess.
