Product Description

Winchester Model 12 Field Grade 20 Gauge, 26" Plain Barrel, Fixed IC Choke, 1959 Takedown, Blued/Walnut

This 1959 Winchester Model 12 Field Grade in 20 Gauge pairs classic blued steel with smooth walnut furniture and a grooved corncob forend. It features a 26" Winchester Proof Steel plain barrel with a fixed Improved Cylinder choke, a 2 3/4" chamber, and a single front bead. The takedown design, right-side ejection, and slam-fire capable trigger highlight the Model 12’s hallmark functionality. Matching serial numbers on the receiver and barrel extension further support its originality.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.

Specific Condition Notes: The wood shows some scuffs, dings, and scratches from prior handling. The metal surfaces remain in relatively great shape with an even blued finish.

    What's Included

    • Winchester Model 12 Field Grade 20 Gauge pump-action shotgun

Built on Winchester’s hammerless pump-action, this Model 12 uses a steel receiver and Winchester Proof Steel barrel for durability and smooth operation. The 26" plain, non-rib barrel carries a single front bead and a fixed Improved Cylinder choke, a practical setup for fast, instinctive shooting.

The shotgun is configured in classic Field Grade trim with a smooth walnut pistol-grip stock, a Winchester-logo hard rubber buttplate, and a grooved corncob-style walnut forend. The length of pull measures 14.0", and the overall finish is a traditional blued steel.

Function-focused features include a 2 3/4" chamber, a tubular magazine with a 5-round capacity, and right-side ejection. The trigger lacks a disconnector, making the gun slam-fire capable for rapid follow-up shots when used as designed.

This is a takedown Model 12, allowing the barrel and magazine assembly to separate from the receiver for transport and maintenance. It bears correct Winchester markings, including "WINCHESTER — TRADE MARK — MADE IN U.S.A." and "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL," and the receiver and barrel extension carry matching serial numbers.
