    What’s Included

    • Smith & Wesson Model 639 pistol (9mm)
    • 1x 8-round single-stack steel magazine

The Model 639 is a stainless-steel evolution of S&W’s 39-series, offering a durable build with both the frame and slide finished in stainless. This example is a full-size pistol with a 4 in barrel and classic second-generation styling, including a rounded trigger guard with a serrated front face, a checkered front strap, and a checkered backstrap.

Its DA/SA action is paired with an ambidextrous, slide-mounted safety/decocker, a firing pin block, and a magazine disconnect. Controls are straightforward, with a left-side magazine release and an 8+1 single-stack magazine configuration.

The slide assembly uses an external extractor and a separate barrel bushing at the muzzle. Sights are fixed, with a serrated ramp front and a fixed rear notch. The barrel hood is marked "9MM PARABELLUM," consistent with the model’s 9mm Luger chambering.

As a second-generation S&W 39-series pistol from the 1980s, the 639 reflects the company’s transitional design features of that era. The model was discontinued in 1988 and succeeded by the 3906. This example retains checkered wood grips with S&W medallions and was made in the United States.
