The Galil ACE SAR Gen II is a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston rifle with a rotating bolt, built around a steel receiver and imported with the IWI US Middletown, PA marking. Its 5.45x39mm chambering provides a distinctive caliber choice within the ACE family, paired with a 30+1 capacity.
The 16-inch barrel is cold-hammer-forged and chrome-lined, threaded at the muzzle, and fitted with a birdcage-style flash hider. A 1:7.5 right-hand twist supports this chambering, and the factory weight is approximately 8.2 lb unloaded.
Controls are well laid out with a left-side, reciprocating charging handle, an ambidextrous safety selector, and a paddle-style magazine release. The stock is polymer and configured on an AR-type receiver extension; it is side-folding, collapsible, and adjustable, with a listed 14.5-inch length of pull.
Mounting surfaces include a free-float M-LOK handguard with multiple M-LOK slots and a molded hallmark, plus a full-length 1913 Picatinny top rail with T-mark numbers that bridge the receiver and handguard. One 30-round Magpul 5.45x39 PMAG (AK-74 pattern) is included.
