The rifle uses the SKS short-stroke gas piston system with a tilting-bolt action and a right-side charging handle. It is chambered in 7.62x39 and fitted with a 20.5 in barrel. Sights include a protected front post and a tangent, elevation‑graduated ladder rear sight.
