This U.S.-made Kalashnikov USA KR-9 is a 9x19 AK-pattern carbine inspired by the PP-19-01 Vityaz, built on a stamped steel receiver with rivets and reinforcing dimples. It features a 16.25 in barrel with 1/2x28 threads and a pinned and welded thread cap, a hinged top cover with an integrated Picatinny rail, and a factory-style steel side-folding triangular stock. An ALG single-stage trigger has been installed, adding a notable upgrade to the fire control group.

The KR-9 mirrors the proven AK layout with right-side ejection and right-side charging, plus a right-side safety/selector marked S/F. The receiver is marked "K USA" and finished in matte black. Capacity is up to 30+1 with the included magazines.
Its 16.25 in barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and fitted with a thread protector that is pinned and welded. The carbine uses a blowback action and has a 13.0 in length of pull. An ALG single-stage trigger is installed, providing a clean, single-stage press consistent with that design.
Furniture includes a steel, triangular, skeletonized side-folding stock in matte black, a black polymer pistol grip marked "US," and ribbed polymer handguards. Controls are familiar and functional, with a paddle-style magazine release and a manual safety/selector.
Iron sights consist of a protected front post and a tangent rear notch marked 5–10–15–20. The hinged top cover integrates a Picatinny rail for mounting optics. No left-side optics rail is observed.
