Manufactured by Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) in Berlin, this carbine carries the Argentine national crest on the receiver ring and the factory legends "MAUSER, MODELO ARGENTINO 1909" and "DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND MUNITIONSFABRIKEN BERLIN" on the left receiver wall. There are no visible import marks, preserving its original presentation.
The cavalry carbine configuration combines a 22 inch barrel with a full-length Mannlicher-style hardwood stock and a separate handguard. Hardware includes a left-side butt sling swivel, a forward bottom sling swivel, and a distinctive nose cap with a concentric forward ring boss around the muzzle. The rifle wears a blued finish with a turned-down bolt handle and an in-the-white bolt body.
Built on the large-ring Mauser 98 pattern, it features controlled-round-feed, a stripper-clip guide, and a three-position Mauser 98 flag safety. Feeding is through a 5-round internal staggered-column magazine, chambered in 7.65x53mm Mauser.
Iron sights include a protected front sight and a tangent rear sight graduated to 1400 meters. A 13.0 inch length of pull provides a compact, carbine-appropriate fit. Matching serial numbers were observed on the receiver, bolt handle root, and triggerguard/floorplate.
