Bore Rifling: Fair Rifling - Worn rifling, slight loss of definition.
There is widespread rust and pitting, along with extensive scratching and blemishing. The cylinder stop is missing and the cylinder is able to free spin; parts will need to be replaced or refreshed. Rifling is present and defined, with visible blemishing.

This Model 82 is a full-size, double-action/single-action revolver with a 4-inch carbon-steel barrel and a fluted six-chamber cylinder. It wears a blued finish throughout and uses a square-butt frame. The barrel has a partial ejector-rod shroud and a knurled ejector-rod tip for positive handling.
Controls include an exposed, checkered wide-spur hammer and a smooth-faced trigger. The cylinder latch is a checkered thumbpiece. Fixed sights consist of a serrated ramp front and a grooved topstrap rear notch, providing a clear, durable sight picture.
The revolver is fitted with checkered hardwood stocks featuring Taurus medallions, and the Taurus bull logo is present on the sideplate. The overall configuration reflects a traditional service-style setup in .38 Special.
Factory markings include TAURUS on the left side of the barrel and 38 SPECIAL on the right. The model designation is stamped on the crane/yoke, and import/production stamps read TAURUS INT. MFG. MIAMI, FL – USA and MADE IN BRAZIL.
