This 2009 Winchester Model 70 Sporter in .338 Win. Mag. combines the classic controlled-round-feed action with a 26-inch barrel and a matte stainless finish. It has been professionally configured with a black synthetic stock and comes topped with a Bushnell Scopechief II 3-9x40 scope on a one-piece base and rings. U.S.-made with BACO Morgan, Utah rollmarks, it features the MOA Trigger and three-position wing safety.
Chambered in .338 Win. Mag., this full-size bolt action uses Winchester's controlled-round-feed system with a coned breech. The 26-inch barrel pairs with an internal box magazine for a stated 3+1 capacity. The receiver is drilled and tapped and currently fitted with a one-piece scope base and rings. There are no factory iron sights.
The action incorporates Winchester's three-position wing safety and the MOA Trigger system. The bolt features a swept handle with a round knob for positive operation.
The rifle wears a matte stainless finish. It is fitted with a black synthetic stock with textured grip and forend panels and integral sling swivel studs. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches, and the stock resembles Winchester's Shadow/Ultimate Shadow style.
Optics are included and installed. The Bushnell Scopechief II "Command Post" 3-9x40 second-focal-plane scope uses a 1-inch tube and a crosshair reticle, offering a practical magnification range for .338 Win. Mag. hunting setups.
