The SR-22R configuration builds on the time-tested Ruger 10/22 blowback action within an aluminum SR-22 chassis produced to Ruger specification by Nordic Components. It retains right-side ejection and a cross-bolt safety, and it feeds from Ruger's rotary magazine pattern (one 10-round magazine is included).
The alloy steel barrel is cold hammer-forged and threaded 1/2x28, capped with a factory birdcage flash suppressor. The 16-inch length balances handiness with velocity for .22 LR, and the excellent bore and rifling reflect minimal prior use.
Furniture is AR-style for familiar handling: a 6-position M4-style adjustable stock offering approximately 10.5–13.5 inches of length of pull, a polymer stock body with a rear sling loop, and a Hogue-style rubber overmolded pistol grip. A round, mid-length ventilated aluminum handguard completes the setup.
Optics mounting is straightforward thanks to the receiver‑top Picatinny rail integral to the receiver shroud. This rifle comes equipped with a Whitetail Classic variable-power scope featuring an adjustable objective, mounted in two Picatinny rings.
