It features stainless steel construction with a black Armornite slide finish, a flat-faced trigger, and bright, high-visibility sights, making it a well-equipped factory-enhanced Shield Plus.

The Performance Center treatment on this Shield Plus includes a factory-ported stainless steel barrel and matching ported slide with lightening cuts. The 4.0-inch long-slide increases sight radius while keeping the pistol slim and carry-friendly.
The optics-ready slide currently has its cut exposed (no cover plate installed) and uses front and rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation. The stainless steel slide wears Smith & Wesson's black Armornite finish, while the barrel exterior presents as bright stainless/silver on this example, and the slide is marked "MARYVILLE, TN USA."
Sight configuration is a green fiber-optic front paired with a black U-notch rear for a fast, uncluttered sight picture. The flat-faced trigger includes an integral safety tab, and the pistol uses a striker-fired, semi-automatic action with a left-side magazine release.
This example has no manual thumb safety and, per factory markings, is capable of firing with the magazine removed (no magazine disconnect). The textured black polymer frame provides secure purchase, and capacity is 13+1 with the included extended magazine.
