The Sport III configuration uses a mid-length gas system and low-profile gas block to complement the 16 inch threaded barrel. The barrel is Armornite/QPQ treated and cut with 5R rifling and a 1:8 twist. A chromed firing pin is included from the factory.
The 15 inch free-float M-LOK aluminum handguard provides extensive accessory mounting along with a continuous Picatinny rail at 12 o'clock. The flat-top upper includes a forward assist, case deflector, and ejection-port dust cover. No sights are installed.
Upgrades set this rifle apart: a red-anodized ambidextrous charging-handle latch, an aftermarket red curved trigger shoe, a DP Co textured polymer pistol grip, and a DP Co M-LOK hand stop/angled foregrip. A Magpul six-position telescoping carbine stock completes the setup.
Forged aluminum receivers with an integral trigger guard anchor the build, and the receiver is marked "MARYVILLE, TN • MADE IN U.S.A." Controls include a right-side magazine release and a manual safety. Chambered in 5.56mm NATO with a 30+1 capacity, this rifle ships with five 30-round Magpul PMAG GEN M3 magazines.
