The 336XLR’s 24-inch stainless barrel uses Ballard-style rifling with a 1:12 right-hand twist, a setup that aligns with the XLR series intent to pair well with Hornady LEVERevolution ammunition. The tubular magazine holds 5+1 rounds, and the magazine tube terminates just short of the muzzle.
Construction is stainless throughout the receiver, barrel, magazine tube, forend cap, and lever, providing a cohesive, corrosion-resistant build. The stock is laminated hardwood in a grey/black finish with a pistol-grip profile, cut checkering, a fluted comb, and a recoil pad. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches, and QD sling swivel studs are installed at the buttstock and forend cap.
Sighting equipment consists of a ramped front with a protective hood and brass bead, paired with an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with a step elevator. The solid-top, side-eject receiver is drilled and tapped; factory slotted plug screws are installed in the scope-base holes.
