The 16.12 inch alloy-steel barrel is fluted and threaded 1/2x28 with a thread protector, paired with a 1:10 RH twist for 9mm Luger. Adjustable ghost-ring rear and a protected-blade front sight offer a clear iron-sight picture. The barrel is marked "9MM LUGER."
The receiver is aluminum alloy with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish and an integral Picatinny rail. It is marked "PC CARBINE" and "RUGER - NEWPORT, NH - USA." The takedown system uses a forward push lever and rotating collar for quick separation and reassembly.
Controls are user-configurable: the charging handle is reversible and installed on the left side, the magazine release is reversible, and the cross-bolt safety is straightforward to access. The action is a semi-automatic blowback design with a 10+1 capacity and a 13.25 inch length of pull.
An interchangeable magazine-well system expands magazine compatibility. This rifle includes the Glock magwell installed and a spare insert, and ships with two 10-round magazines for immediate use.
