Norinco Type 56 SKS 7.62x39 B-West Tucson AZ Import, 20.5 in Barrel, Bushnell Trophy Red Dot, Scout Rail, Muzzle Brake - Made in China
This Norinco Type 56 SKS is a B-West Tucson, AZ import marked "Sporter," made in China and chambered in 7.62x39. It retains the classic SKS configuration with a fixed 10-round magazine and a 20.5 in barrel, and it features thoughtful upgrades including a forward scout-style optic rail with a Bushnell Trophy red dot and a short slotted muzzle brake. Collectible import markings, an in-the-white bolt carrier, and a hardwood stock with reddish shellac finish make this an appealing example with useful, reversible enhancements.

Marked "MADE IN CHINA BY NORINCO 7.62 x 39 SPORTER B-WEST TUC. AZ," this Type 56 reflects a desirable B-West Tucson import with clear receiver legends. It retains the standard 20.5 in barrel and the SKS platform’s fixed internal 10-round magazine with a hinged floorplate. The bayonet lug/mount block is present; the bayonet itself is not included. The bolt carrier is in-the-white, and the rifle wears its traditional blued finish on steel components.
The stock is hardwood with a reddish shellac finish, featuring a full-length profile, a steel buttplate with trapdoor, and a rear sling swivel. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches, consistent with the military-style stock geometry associated with Chinese Type 56 rifles.
Factory iron sights include an open front post with protective ears and a tangent rear sight leaf graduated 1–10. A forward scout-style rail is clamped at the rear-sight base/handguard area, and a Bushnell Trophy red dot is installed in that forward position for rapid sighting. No upper handguard is present; the gas tube is exposed.
Operation is semi-automatic with a gas-operated, short-stroke piston and tilting-bolt system. A short slotted muzzle brake is fitted at the muzzle. The cleaning rod is absent, aligning with the import-marked configuration noted above.
