GEN M3 features include a four-way anti-tilt, self-lubricating follower, constant-curve internal geometry, a USGI-spec stainless steel spring, and tool-less disassembly. The body incorporates an over-travel insertion stop, a redesigned bolt catch notch for increased clearance, a paint pen dot matrix for marking, and a flared floorplate for handling and disassembly.
