The Gen 3 Glock 23 pairs a compact frame with the .40 S&W chambering, delivering a 10+1 capacity in a size suited to everyday carry or duty use. It uses Glock's Safe Action trigger system with integrated trigger, firing pin, and drop safeties, and a short-recoil, locked-breech Browning-type operating system.
The 4.02-inch steel barrel is cold hammer forged with polygonal rifling and a nitrocarburized finish. The slide is also nitrocarburized and features rear serrations only for a consistent draw and manipulation surface.
The polymer frame incorporates three finger grooves and left-side-only controls. A Glock Universal rail with a single cross slot is molded into the dust cover for mounting compatible accessories.
Sights are the standard fixed polymer set with a white-dot front and white-outline rear, providing a clear, straightforward sight picture. The pistol feeds from a detachable box magazine, and this example includes one factory 10-round magazine.
Markings include MADE IN AUSTRIA, GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA and GLOCK 23 AUSTRIA 40, confirming its Austrian manufacture with U.S. import markings.
