The Sport II configuration delivers a proven, direct-impingement AR-15 setup with carbine-length gas, aluminum alloy receivers in matte black, and core controls including a forward assist, ejection-port dust cover, and brass deflector. The magwell bears a roll-marked/engraved S&W logo, the buttstock features a molded S&W emblem, and the rifle uses a STANAG-pattern detachable magazine interface.
The 16 in barrel is factory-marked "5.56 NATO 1/9" and includes a threaded muzzle. The carbine-length gas system balances the package for general-purpose use, while the F-marked A2 front sight base adds a durable fixed reference point. A bayonet lug and bottom sling swivel are integrated into the front sight base.
Furniture includes a two-piece carbine-length ribbed polymer handguard, an A2-style pistol grip, and a 6-position collapsible M4-style stock with a 13.5 in length of pull. A 6 o'clock accessory rail segment is installed on the handguard, with a Magpul RVG vertical foregrip mounted to it.
The flat-top upper provides a T-marked Picatinny receiver rail (T2–T12) for mounting accessories, and a polymer flip-up rear sight is installed on the receiver rail. Stated capacity is 30+1, and this rifle includes one 30-round ETS polymer magazine.
