The XFIVE configuration centers on a 5-inch carbon steel bull, match-grade barrel paired with a striker-fired, semi-automatic action. The serialized modular FCU is visible through the frame window, and factory markings include "NEWINGTON, NH, USA" on the frame and "9mm x 19" on the barrel. The factory part number is 320X5-9-BAS.
The slide features weight-reducing lightening ports on top along with both front and rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation. Sighting is handled by Dawson-pattern iron sights with a green fiber-optic front and a fully adjustable rear, as specified for this model.
The X-Series polymer grip module includes a SIG medallion, extended beavertail, undercut trigger guard, and a removable flared magwell. A full-length Picatinny/1913 accessory rail runs the dust cover.
