The G47 configuration pairs a G17-length slide and barrel with a shortened dustcover, a defining trait of this model. The 4.49 in Glock Marksman Barrel uses a recessed crown and steel construction to support consistent performance, while the nDLC finish is applied to steel components for added surface hardness and durability.
Factory features include a MOS optics-cut slide with the cover plate installed, plus forward and rear serrations for confident manipulation. Fixed sights are Glock’s white-dot front with white U-notch rear.
Gen5 ergonomics are present throughout: the frame deletes finger grooves, uses the Gen5 texture, and incorporates a subtly flared magwell. Controls include an ambidextrous slide stop lever and a reversible magazine release.
This full-size 9mm employs Glock’s striker-fired, short-recoil Safe Action system and offers a 17+1 capacity. A standard accessory rail on the dustcover supports common mounted equipment.
Manufactured in Austria, the pistol bears Austrian proof marks and barrel hood marking "GLOCK AT," along with "MADE IN AUSTRIA" and "GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA" with U.S. Pat. 5,156,677 markings. The G47 originated for U.S. Customs and Border Protection in 2019 and entered commercial release in 2023, and it maintains parts compatibility within the Gen5 9mm family (G17/G19/G45/G47).
