U.S.-made in 1937, this Remington Model 11 is the licensed long-recoil variant of the Browning Auto-5, set up in a classic sporting configuration. It features factory game-scene roll engraving, a 26" plain steel barrel with a single bead, and a later-1930s standard 2 3/4" 16-gauge chamber. Walnut furniture, a left-side bolt release, and an adjustable friction-ring recoil system round out a period-correct, well-appointed semi-automatic shotgun.

This Model 11 is the U.S.-made licensed version of the Browning Auto-5 design, operating on the long-recoil system. It uses an adjustable friction-ring recoil system on the magazine tube to tune cycling, and it has a left-side bolt release. The listed capacity is 2+1 in its sporting setup, and this example is not the "The Sportsman"-marked variant.
The 26" plain steel barrel is paired with a single front bead for an uncluttered sight picture. It is marked for an Improved Cylinder choke and features a standard later-1930s 2 3/4" Chamber. The combination is well-suited to general-purpose field use. (Imp Cyl Choke)
Stocked in walnut, the shotgun includes a pistol-grip buttstock and a walnut fore-end with point-pattern checkering. It has a Remington-marked serrated steel buttplate and a 14.0" length of pull. The receiver and barrel wear a blued finish over steel construction.
Factory game-scene roll engraving adds period appeal, with waterfowl on the left side and an upland bird motif on the right. The barrel shows a "DE" stamp along with inspector/proof symbols. Made in the United States in 1937, this Model 11 presents as a classic sporting configuration from the late 1930s.
