The SUB-2000 Gen 2 folds at the barrel/receiver hinge for compact storage and transport, then locks back into a full-length carbine with a 16.25-inch barrel when deployed. It ejects to the right and retains a slim profile when folded.
This example is configured for Glock 19/23-size magazines and comes with one 15-round Magpul PMAG GL9. The factory capacity is 15+1 with the included magazine.
The barrel is threaded and ships with a protector installed. The polymer handguard features M-LOK-style slots, and full-length Picatinny rails run along the top and bottom of the handguard for mounting compatible accessories. Controls include a cross-bolt safety and an under-tube, reciprocating charging handle.
Construction includes a steel receiver tube (serialized) housed within a polymer grip/frame with a black finish, plus a telescoping, multi-position, skeletonized polymer stock with a 13.0-inch length of pull. Sighted with a metal front tower and protected blade paired to an aperture-style rear sight. Marked "KEL TEC CNC INC COCOA FL" and "MADE IN USA." The carbine uses a straight blowback action.
