The HK45C V1 uses a DA/SA trigger with a frame-mounted safety/decocker and the HK Lock-Out Safety Device. Ambidextrous safety levers and a paddle-style ambidextrous magazine release support easy operation for right- or left-handed users.
The 3.94-inch cold hammer-forged barrel uses polygonal rifling and an accuracy O-ring. It is recoil-operated with a modified Browning locking system and is non-threaded. Low-profile 3-dot iron sights are drift-adjustable for windage.
The steel slide wears HK's hostile environment treatment, and both slide and reinforced polymer frame are finished in factory FDE. Markings include Heckler & Koch Inc., Columbus GA, and Made in USA.
An integral MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail with four cross-slots is molded into the frame. Capacity is 8+1, and this example includes two factory HK 8-round steel magazines. The original box label indicates HK45C V1 FDE, matching the pistol.
