This East German Makarov PM was produced in 1961 at VEB Ernst Thälmann in Suhl and bears matching serial numbers on the slide and frame. It carries correct East German acceptance/proof marks (boxed K100 and diamond) and also bears an SSME Plant City FL import stamp applied at the time of U.S. import. It comes with five 8-round magazines, a brown leather flap holster, and a Baikal factory cardboard box (non-matching), adding completeness to this compact, steel-framed service pistol.

Manufactured in the German Democratic Republic during the Cold War, this PM is a Suhl-made example from 1961, identified by the "61" date code on the frame. It has matching numbers on the slide and frame, and features East German acceptance/proof markings—the boxed K100 and diamond—as well as an SSME Plant City FL import mark applied at U.S. import.
The pistol uses a DA/SA, straight-blowback system with a fixed steel barrel and is hammer-fired. Controls include a slide-mounted safety that doubles as a decocker and a heel-type magazine release, consistent with the PM pattern.
Construction is all steel with a blued finish on both frame and slide. The grip is a one-piece black synthetic unit with a palm swell and checkered panels for a secure hold. This compact format maintains the PM's well-known handling characteristics.
