The 28 inch vent-rib barrel and fixed Modified (M) choke provide a versatile pattern for field use. This example is the early fixed-choke configuration that predates the WinChoke system. It is chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells and has a 4-round tubular magazine with right-side ejection.
The action uses Winchester's rotating bolt with four locking lugs that engage a barrel extension, driven by twin action bars for smooth, positive cycling. The front sight is a single bead on the rib, with no mid-bead observed.
The receiver is an anodized aluminum alloy, matched to a blued steel barrel. The walnut stock and forend include a pistol-grip, checkered wrist, and diamond-pattern checkering on the forend. The stock is finished with a ventilated recoil pad and white/black line spacers, plus an oval stock medallion inset in the belly. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
