The Remington 700 action is chambered in .338 Lapua, with the barrel marked ".338 LM." The 26-inch heavy-contour barrel is threaded and fitted with a multi-port muzzle brake to help manage recoil and maintain control. A plunger ejector and the M16-style extractor upgrade work together for positive extraction and ejection.
The MDT XRS chassis is built around a 6061 aluminum core with polymer outer panels in tan/FDE with black hardware. The forend features M-LOK slots, an accessory mounting plate, and a short Picatinny section on the underside for bipods or other accessories. Length of pull is set at 13.5 inches.
Ergonomics include a pistol-grip profile with a textured black insert, an MDT recoil pad, and a QD flush cup for sling attachment. The oversized knurled bolt knob provides a positive interface for fast, confident cycling.
A detachable box magazine system supports a 5+1 capacity and uses the AICS pattern. A one-piece 20-MOA Picatinny scope base is installed to provide additional elevation for long-range zeroing and to accommodate robust mounting options.
