The KSG uses dual selectable tubular magazines controlled by a three-position feed selector. Factory capacity is 7+7 rounds with 2.75 inch shells or 6+6 rounds with 3 inch shells, plus one in the chamber. This layout enables quick switching between magazine tubes as needed.
The 18.5 inch smoothbore barrel is cylinder bore, paired with a 3 inch chamber to handle a wide range of 12 gauge loads. The design features bottom loading and downward ejection to keep spent hulls clear of the sightline and shooter.
It includes a full-length top Picatinny rail and a short forend rail for accessory mounting. There are no factory sights. Installed accessories on this example include a rail-mounted vertical foregrip and a rail-mounted tactical light on the forend.
