    What's Included

    • Smith & Wesson Model 37 Airweight .38 Special revolver with 3-inch barrel
    • Aftermarket Hogue Monogrip rubber grip (installed)

The 3-inch Model 37 Airweight configuration is less common than the 2-inch variant and provides a longer sight radius and a longer ejector stroke. The provided information places this revolver in the J-prefix serial range, dating production to the mid-1970s with a listed year of manufacture between 1976 and 1977.

Construction pairs an aluminum alloy J-frame with a polished blued/black finish and a carbon-steel 3-inch tapered barrel. The five-shot fluted cylinder is carbon steel with a matching blued finish, maintaining the classic lightweight Airweight balance with durable steel components where it matters.

It operates in double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer featuring a checkered spur and a smooth, narrow trigger. The cylinder assembly includes a knurled ejector-rod tip and a short under-barrel lug with a front lock.

Sights are fixed iron, with a serrated ramp front blade and a fixed rear notch in the topstrap. Factory markings include the S&W sideplate logo and the Springfield, Mass. frame legend. Assembly/inspection stamps "56873" and "B1C" are present in the yoke cut. The revolver is currently fitted with an aftermarket Hogue Monogrip rubber grip.
