The M&P 22 Magnum uses Smith & Wesson’s patented TEMPO gas-operated, two-part barrel system paired with an internal hammer-fired, single-action, locked-breech design. This setup is built specifically for the .22 WMR cartridge and delivers the model’s notable 30+1 capacity.
The slide and barrel are stainless steel with a durable Armornite black nitride finish. The slide is optics-cut and fitted with a two-screw cover plate, and rear serrations aid manipulation. A Picatinny-style accessory rail is integrated into the dustcover for mounting compatible accessories.
Controls are straightforward and ambidextrous where it matters: an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, a bilateral slide stop, and a reversible magazine catch. The flat-faced trigger includes an integral safety tab.
The full-size polymer frame features M2.0-style grip texture with the S&W medallion. Sights consist of a green fiber-optic front and a black square-notch rear for a crisp, high-contrast sight picture. This pistol is made in the USA; SKU/Mfg Part Number 13433.
