This Redhawk is configured with a 7.5 inch heavy barrel featuring a serrated top rib and a short underlug. The revolver features a blued steel frame and cylinder, with the hammer and trigger left in-the-white; the exposed grip butt/serial area is also in-the-white. Overall length is approximately 13 inches for this barrel length.
The action is double-action/single-action with a smooth trigger and external hammer. Ruger's transfer-bar safety is standard, and a single coil spring powers both the hammer and trigger.
Precision sights include a plunger-retained ramped front blade with an orange insert and a fully adjustable, target-style rear sight. Ruger's triple-locking cylinder system provides secure lockup. The serial number is located on the grip butt.
Chambered for .44 Rem Magnum, this revolver also accepts .44 Special cartridges. Smooth hardwood grip panels with Ruger silver medallions complete the classic Redhawk configuration. Made in the United States in 1986, it carries the Ruger instruction/warning rollmark on the barrel.
