The pistol is built on a blued steel frame and receiver, paired with a 6 inch tapered carbon-steel barrel. The right side of the receiver carries the factory warning legend, and the design uses a right-side ejection port.
Operating features include a semi-automatic blowback action with Ruger’s internal cylindrical bolt and twin rear cocking ears. It has a manual thumb safety and the Mark II series last-shot hold-open bolt stop.
Sight configuration consists of a pinned front blade and a receiver-mounted adjustable square-notch rear sight. The rear sight is an aftermarket unit, and bedding/compound is visible around its base.
The grips are checkered black synthetic panels with Ruger eagle medallions—red on the right and silver on the left. The twin cocking ears provide a positive grasp for charging.
