The 692 Tracker offers caliber flexibility with chambers for .357 Magnum, .38 Special +P, and 9mm Luger. The right-side push-button cylinder/crane release supports fast cylinder changes, and this example includes a serialized 9mm cylinder with its own yoke assembly.
Its 6.5-inch stainless steel barrel features factory porting, a ventilated rib with rectangular lightening cuts, and a full-length underlug with an oval ejector-rod slot. The heavy shroud and underlug provide a balanced, steady feel at the muzzle.
Sight alignment is straightforward with a fixed ramp front sight that has an orange insert and a fully adjustable rear sight. The double-action/single-action mechanism gives the shooter two trigger modes, and the black ribbed Taurus Ribber grip with Taurus medallions provides a sure hold.
Construction is all matte stainless on the frame, barrel, and unfluted cylinders for a uniform, durable finish. Capacity is 7 rounds. Barrel markings include "TRACKER" on the left side and "9mm/.357 MAG" on the underside. Import and origin marks read "Taurus Int’l Mfg, Bainbridge, GA" and "Made in Brazil."
