The A-Bolt action uses a short 60-degree bolt lift and a three-lug locking system for smooth cycling, aided by a fluted bolt body. The rifle features a tang safety for intuitive operation and a detachable box magazine that locks into a hinged floorplate, released by the Browning Buckmark button.
