The C9 uses a straightforward blowback system paired with a heavy Zamak-3 zinc-aluminum alloy slide, delivering consistent cycling with 9mm Luger. It is striker-fired and does not include a dedicated loaded-chamber indicator; chamber status checks are performed by retracting and locking the slide to the rear. The pistol is +P rated by the manufacturer.
Controls are practical and familiar: a push-button, left-side magazine release; a manual thumb safety that also serves as a slide lock; and an internal last-round hold-open. Rear cocking serrations and a right-side ejection port round out the slide features.
Sighting is handled by a 3-dot iron setup optimized for clarity. The fully adjustable square-notch rear sight carries two orange dots, while the front post has a yellow insert that stands out against most backgrounds.
