The Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C is a compact 9mm built around a serialized stainless-steel Central Operating Group chassis and a 4 inch hammer-forged, Melonite-treated barrel. This example features the factory optics-cut slide with Springfield's Variable Interface System (VIS), aggressive-texture interchangeable backstraps, and includes three 15-round magazines with the original box and manual. Proofed and marked HS PRODUKT – MADE IN CROATIA on the slide, it carries clear model markings and a clean, bright bore.

The Echelon 4.0C configuration pairs a compact slide and frame with a 4 inch steel barrel treated with Melonite (nitride) for durability. The 1:10 twist supports a wide range of 9mm loads, and the barrel is marked 9x19. The pistol uses a striker-fired action and a polymer frame with a matte black finish.
Its serialized stainless-steel Central Operating Group is a removable chassis that serves as the legal receiver. The dustcover integrates a three-slot Picatinny/M1913 rail for mounting compatible lights or accessories. Interchangeable backstraps with aggressive texture allow grip sizing to the shooter.
The slide is finished matte black and machined with front and rear serrations plus trench relief for enhanced purchase. A factory optics cut with the Variable Interface System (VIS) is covered by a removable plate bearing the Springfield crossed-cannons logo. Iron sights include a high-visibility front dot and a black rear notch.
Controls include a left-side magazine release. Capacity is 15+1 with the included double-stack magazines. Slide markings read SPRINGFIELD ARMORY on the left and ECHELON on the right, and the slide also bears the HS PRODUKT – MADE IN CROATIA country-of-origin mark, while the barrel hood is marked 9x19.
