Made in West Germany, this P228 carries the "MADE IN W. GERMANY" slide marking and German proof mark, reflecting its origin and factory verification. It is import-marked by SIGARMS in Exeter, NH, with matching serial numbers on the slide and frame, and the barrel hood is correctly marked "9mm Para."
The compact alloy frame keeps weight down while maintaining the classic SIG control layout on the left side. It uses a DA/SA operating system with a decocking lever, a curved trigger, and an external spur hammer. The stamped carbon-steel slide features a roll-pinned breech block, consistent with early P228 construction.
Sights are fixed contrast units, dovetailed front and rear, with the SIG height code on the rear sight for reference. This configuration provides a clean, durable sight picture in a compact package.
